Participation Fee
Two weeks Winter School *excluding* accommodation.

The participation fee covers: course materials, guided tours in Innsbruck and Bolzano/Bozen, bus transfer from Innsbruck to Bolzano/Bozen at the end of week 1 (Friday, 6 February 2026), welcome coffee, welcome lunch and dinner, access to the libraries and internet access at both venues (i.e. at the Faculty of Political Science, University of Innsbruck and at Eurac Research, Bolzano/Bozen).
The participation fee does NOT cover: Accommodation, meals (besides the ones stated above), travel costs and other expenses not listed above.
ACCOMMODATION
Participants can book their accommodation in Innsbruck and Bolzano/Bozen independently or through the organizers. If the latter is chosen, two options are available (see below). Rooms will be booked in standard guesthouses and in quietly located areas of the town, both in Innsbruck and in Bolzano/Bozen.
Single Room
Includes 13 nights-accommodation in a single room with breakfast (= *1.455,00 Euro including participation fee of 300,00 Euro*)

Includes 13 nights-accommodation in a twin room with breakfast (= *1.230,00 Euro including participation fee of 300,00 Euro*)

Both single and twin room accommodations are available on a first-come-first-serve basis upon enrolment. The participation fee (without and with accommodation) must be paid upon enrolment in December 2025.
If no accommodation will be booked through the organizers, participants organize accommodation in Innsbruck and Bolzano/Bozen by themselves (= 300,00 Euro participation fee only).
SCHOLARSHIPS
The organizers of the Winter School will award a limited number of scholarships. The organizers distinguish between:
“Full scholarships” covering the accommodation costs in a shared 3-bed room for 13 nights plus breakfast and a small contribution towards the participants’ travel expenses (refund after the Winter School). Max. 2 scholarships are available.
“Partial scholarships” covering the accommodation costs in a shared 3-bed room in Innsbruck and Bolzano/Bozen for 13 nights plus breakfast. Max. 3 scholarships are available.
Scholarships will be awarded based on merit and need; preference will be given to students and applicants from non-European countries.
Please note that holders of these scholarships are still required to pay a participation fee of € 150,00 upon enrolment. The scholarships will be awarded after all applications have been processed by the end of November 2025.
CANCELLATION POLICY
The organizers remind that it is the participants’ responsibility to obtain a visa on time and therefore no exceptions on the cancellation policy can be made in case of visa denial. Participants are responsible for covering all expenses related to their visa application. If needed, the organizers can provide a letter of support to assist with the visa process.
Refund of fees:
If an enrolled candidate cancels his or her participation after 30 December 2025 the organizers will refund the participation fee minus 10% and the incurred costs.
If an enrolled candidate cancels his or her participation after 11 January 2026, the organizers will refund 50% of the participation fee minus the incurred costs.
No refund can be made for cancellations after 26 January 2026.
This cancellation policy will be applied also to scholarship holders.
Refund of accommodation costs:
The cancellation of the accommodation booking might result in incurring extra charges as per the accommodation’s own cancellation policy, which will be deducted from the refund. Please note that no accommodation costs can be refunded after Friday 19 December 2025.
